Hey volunteer enthusiasts! I’m Aleeza, and I am a grade 11 student at Stephen Lewis Secondary School. I am super ecstatic to be Volunteering Peel’s chairperson for the year and the head of Events Management. Volunteering has been a huge part of my life as it gives me a platform to make a difference in my community, and an opportunity to try new things and meet new people. Over the 1000+ volunteer hours I have collected over my past 3 years of high school, Volunteering Peel has been very close to my heart as it was an easy way for me to come out of my shell and enter the world of volunteering! I enjoy watching Netflix, trying new bubble tea flavours, working part time at my job at PUMA, learning, and exploring the world! I love having conversations with others and creating personal connections with others, so feel free to strike a conversation with me at an event or over social media.
Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer, and I’m a grade 10 student at Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School. I’m so excited to start my second year with Volunteering Peel as this year’s Vice Chairperson, and one of the Public Relations executive members! I absolutely love volunteering, from meeting new people, to helping out the community in a fun and engaging way. It brings happiness and joy every time I get the opportunity to go out and volunteer. Asides from volunteering, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, and reading (let me know if you have any recommendations!). I also really love coffee and cute animals. I love to meet and hear other people’s stories, so come share yours and say hi if you ever see me at an event!
Hey there! I’m Amy, a grade 11 student attending John Fraser Secondary School. I am looking forward to beginning my second year with Volunteering Peel as one of this year’s Public Relations executives! Volunteering provides us with the rare feeling of satisfaction of making a positive impact on your community. There’s nothing quite like the rewarding experience of finding a common ground with other unexpected volunteers. I also enjoy all types of food along with a good cup of tea or coffee. Chances are, if you’re offering either of those, I might just strike up a conversation! Talk to me about every genre of music, video games, yoga or cats. I hope to meet some new friends through some upcoming events in 2018!
Hey there! My name is Andy Zhao and I’m a grade 10 student at Glenforest Secondary School. I’m very excited to part of Volunteering Peel for the second year acting as the head of Events Management. I remember the first time when I walked onto the bus being my first time volunteering with Volunteering Peel, and I can tell you that it was something that I had never experienced before. Volunteering to me is a fundamental part of my life, and it is something that I truly enjoy. Nothing is better than to see my fellow volunteers smiling after a hard day at work, making many new long lasting friendships, and having the opportunity to work with an amazing team. Outside of volunteering, I love playing volleyball, piano, and watching movies. If you see me around, come around and say hello!
Hello beautiful people! My name is Ariana and I'm in grade 10 at John Fraser Secondary School. This is my second year on the Volunteering Peel team acting as head of finance. Volunteering has become such a big part of my life in the past year and it's amazing! There is nothing more fulfilling than spending a day helping your community alongside your peers. Additionally, volunteering around the community has allowed me to meet so many new, and interesting people I would have never met otherwise. Outside of school I spend my time reading, gaming and binge watching netflix. If you see me at an event don't be afraid to come over and say hi; I hope to meet you all at future events!
Hi, I’m QiLin and I’m a grade 10 student at John Fraser Secondary School. I’m the head of Human Relations and the guy behind the website this year. I’m very excited to be part of this amazing organization, which transformed my awkward grade 8 self into myself today. Volunteering can help you develop new skills, meet new people, and give back to the community, all while spending time with friends. Remember, there may not be “I” in team, but there’s definitely “U” in volunteer, so don’t be afraid to come out and join us! I also enjoy running, swimming, playing chess, and doing math. If you see me at an event, don’t be shy to say hello. I look forward to meeting you all!
Hey! My name’s Zuhayr and I’m a grade 11 student at Stephen Lewis Secondary School. As I begin my second year at Volunteering Peel as the head of marketing, I can truly attest to how amazingly unique it is to volunteer with us. From the moment that my ninth grade self stepped on the bus to journey to my first ever event, I was welcomed by many new people and ended up making some lasting friends that day, which is why I love volunteering! It brings the most unlikely people together through a shared feeling of happiness and belonging. When I’m not volunteering, I love to animate, take photos for the gram, act, or sip on a nice cup of tea. So if you ever see me at an event be sure to drop by and say hi so I could get a chance to know you better!

Volunteering is super important to me because you gain life experiences that help accomplish tasks. That may sound cliche but it's true I made friends from different schools and different grades just by volunteering. I am into coding (I am the definition of beginner though), and i also like playing fortnite and GTA5 on my PS4. So if you see me at any event feel free to tell say hello!
